A 12.1 inch model at 2.88 mm width from Sharp and an 11 inch model at 3 mm from Sony have been launched on CEATEC 2007. The big difference between the two is Sharp continues to use LCD technology while Sony is pushing OLED. With a long history in LCD, Sharp continues to evangelize the future of the technology.

However, Sony is claiming a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio with a ship date of Dec. 1, 2007 at a price of 200,000 yen ($1,734 US), while Sharp claims only 2000:1 while not releasing a ship date or pricing. Which one do you like?
