Bedroom hidden in a single box
Feb.13, 2008 in
DESIGN

You might think this box could only be used for containing and you won’t believe that a single box like this could provide you a fully furnitured bedroom. So, more pictures after the break.

This isn’t a new concept in the 50’s or 60’s the same thing was proposed but never took off.
September 13th, 2009 at 10:15 pm
i want.
September 25th, 2009 at 9:07 pm
I’d easy get one of those. Anyone know where?

This is not even all from that one box. In the second and third to last pictures those shelves on the right come from nowhere. This is a fake
November 1st, 2009 at 12:31 am
Actually, if you look at the flat pallet in the 3rd pic from the bottom, you’ll see the flats and supports for the shelving unit.

my balls itch
November 4th, 2009 at 3:25 pm
You could sell this to the military for sure

This is not a new concept by any means but it is exceptionally well executed. This type of product is usually only used as a design exercise and never actually goes into production but this certainly has potential, particularly for use in emergency accommodation. This type of item used in a shipping container perhaps would have been excellent after Hurricane Katrina for example.
Kudos to the designers I say. Well done!
Wow there are some amazingly stupid people commenting here.
@ Poop: Grow up or go play on a kiddie site.
@ Matt: You didn’t look very hard, did you? The shelves are sitting there upside down and yellow right in the middle of the sixth picture.
November 4th, 2009 at 9:12 pm
No, the rest of the shelving is still folded on what becomes the bed in the last two pictures, you can tell by the way its folded.
November 5th, 2009 at 2:53 pm
@Matt: Came out of nowhere? You’re a frigging idiot. They came from the bed frame, the one that has the drawers on it for the base of the armoire. This is clear as day if you’d take a moment to look at the fourth and fifth pictures. “I’m an expert on these kinds of tings and dis am photoshpped”

I don’t think it would be that great for an actual bedroom, but if you were going camping you’d be livin’ large
November 6th, 2009 at 1:05 am
Comfort? Not so much.
November 7th, 2009 at 8:37 pm
Hey Matt, the shelves were made from the flat pieces still sitting on the bottom of the “box”
November 8th, 2009 at 4:13 pm
sweet but would be impractical in my house.

How am I supposed to fuck a cardboard bed?
