RGB only works with light, not ink. You’d have to use CMYK, and even then, would most likely not give an accurate reflection of the colour.

This is still a concept design, so it’s not available yet. Although, the technology behind it is very possible.

This would be amazing for designers aswell, getting the exact colour for many things can be a real git, Even illustration on the move would be solved, no longer would we have to fill our pockets with an array of pens, if it also had the function to store the colours & transfer them to photoshop that would make it so much easier and faster.

Any clue if this will be in the near future?

This gadget would be a blessing to legally blind people. Our daughter-in-law is lb and is also an artist. She is unable to see color.
Is this available now? Will it be available in Canada? What will the “ballpark” price be?

Wow. This is a brilliant idea! I’ve often been left wanting a color that better matched what I was portraying on paper. This would be an immense help.
