Brake your lamp!

2009101920

Don’t doubt about your eyes, yes, what we’re advocating here is to control your lamps with brakes! As a bike is attached to a pole that is already attached to a lamp, you could simply turn on or turn off the lamp by applying the brakes. Cool! Just say good-bye to buttons and cords!

The First Green Olympic Medals

2009101929

2010 Vancouver Olympic Winter Games medals, unveiled recently at Vancouver Olympic village, are claimed to be environment-friendly, super-ellipse medals with undulating surfaces — all firsts in Games history. Except the traditional metallic material, CRT, computer parts, circuit boards and other recycled materials are also used to make these medals, which aims to call for more attention to the ecology business. As the medals are also designed to be “substantial”, they weight between 500 and 576 grams each, among the heaviest medals in Olympic Games history.

Burning Cities Fire-screens

2009101932

Whatever cities you’re inhabited in, setting fires to civilian buildings are always forbidden by law, not to mention burning down a whole city. So it’s really inconceivable that you’re allowed to burn up London and Roma! Maybe that’s why these Burning Cities Fire-screens are attractive. Based on the London Conflagration in 1666 and the Rome Fire in 64AD, the cool fire-screens have perfectly reproduced those tragic incidents.

Dirty Dish Mats

2009101937

Since it’s difficult to keep desks absolutely clean, why don’t we just leave it dirty…with desk mats like this? Look, the illusion of the stain smartly covers up the inevitable oil grease, milk, beverage, etc. It’s now available in the colors of coffee brown, cola light, jam red and others. Do you like this idea?

Wind Based Acoustic Coupler Radio

2009101621

In Kawasaki, a city of Japan, an important event is held every year to exhibit assorted wind-bells. Exciting, huh? But how do you like a radio based on the wind? I’ve recently in love with the “Breeze Radio” by Chiu Chi Hung. It features a “sound-only era” concept, aiming to bring us back to a simple time before MP3 players that are designed with complicated features and functions. Whenever the radio is activated by air flow like wind, it then starts to play. But if the wind direction and intensity is changed, the program is accordingly altered. Amusing!

Phone Fingers

2009101638

Well, frankly speaking, the Phone Finger is really unnecessary and maybe a bit stupid…You may even associate it with something you wouldn’t want your mom to find in your pockets! But if you’re someone who seriously cares about all the belongings, you may find the Phone Fingers quite useful to protect your iPhone from finger prints and smudges.

This table is specially designed for a cleaner workplace, as you no longer need to rummage all over to find the item you want. The table could also serve as an art work provided that you put everything in an ordered way. It is particularly well adapted for printing-paper (A5-A2, etc).

Imagine that your clothes hangers are made in the same shape of your DNA? It’s quite incredible, right? Blade-less Window Fan

2009101401

Could a window fan without blades still be regarded as a fan? I really doubt that because it’s difficult to imagine such a fan work. But if you stick your hand through the loop, you’ll immediately understand how it works. In fact, the air is in-taken by the bottom grills and then transported up, so you could feel the air in front of the ring. Cool and I kind of love it!
