To show his respect to the inventor of the incandescent light bulbs, Thomas Edison, Roderik Vos named the lamp here as ‘Mr. Ed’. It is a lamp that comes with two books as its stands, and therefore looks quite different from usual ones. You’ve guessed right, the lamp is merely designed to act as a shelf light that helps you read clearly, rather than a table lamp that suits any conditions.
