Eco-friendly Multi Layer Trash Bin

20091216401

The design for the trash barrel shows a great deal of originality. Guess what, both the bin itself and the rubbish bags that come along with it are made from wasted paper, therefore reducing the “white pollution”. Better yet, the eco-friendly trash barrel is also designed with multi layers of bags, so that you needn’t have to change the bag every time it is full. Just draw out the full bag, pull out another bag, done! [Read the rest of this entry...]

The Laser ring ensures you a safer riding on the road.

20091216201

Although bicycles are environmentally friendly, and riding bicycles helps us a lot to keep healthy, it’s no longer that safe to ride a bike these days, due to the decreasing cycle paths. Yes, bicycle drivers have to cut cars and buses off to keep on the main road. Is that easy? So you’ll need the Laser Lamp. When you ride the bike, the lamp will form a ring around you so as to remind the car drivers of your existence. Especially, when there’re cars coming near to you, the laser ring will automatically turn into red from green, to call for your attention. [Read the rest of this entry...]

Mysterious light appeared in the sky above Norway.

20091215701

On December 9th, 2009, as thousands of citizens recalled, a mysterious light appeared in the sky above Norway. Firstly, it was a blue light that was soaring up from behind a mountain, and then, it gradually turned into a giant spiral, which almost covered the entire sky. About 10 to 12 minutes later, the light finally disappeared and the citizens went back to bed again.

So what do you think about this phenomenon? The tracks of a moving UFO? Aurora borealis? Well, the Meteorological Institute doesn’t think so. It is widely believed that the light was caused by the Russian missile launch, which went wrong as we all knew. However, the Russian government didn’t share this view. 20091215601

Hmmmm…Have you had any similar experiences before? Perhaps we were all him (the person in the pictures) at one juncture in our lives, I mean, we used to forget the rulers and had to look for something flat, a book for example, to use it as a ruler. Then the Ruler Pen by ShiKai Tseng will be a great help to careless students like you and me. So next time you forget to bring a ruler, just take out a pen cap and use it as a ruler. That’s so easy! Street Lights that are powered by wind energy.

20091215501

Not that Sungi Kim and Hozin Song are much cleverer than us, but that they’ve noticed something we didn’t pay attention to. It is the wind energy generated as vehicles pass by. And the ‘Road Lights’ is a system designed to capture the wind energy, which is expected to power a series of lights to illuminate 50-100metres in front of the cars. Good work! British Library’s new storage facility will employ Robotic librarians.

20091215401

Why do we say, these days nobody is still caring about paper books? In my mind, the ever-developing digital storage devices will never completely take the place of paper books. And we do need to store books, especially valued old books in a better way. The British Library has built up a new Additional Storage Building (ASB) that adopts seven robotic cranes to retrieve books. Seven million books are hoped to be stored in the new library. Tattooed Flooring

20091215301

Creative “Tattooed Flooring” is designed to beautify your floor. Over a long period, we have to bear the bull flooring which doesn’t match the modern furniture. And the only thing we can do is to place some beautiful carpets on it. Is that really enough? Nope. We need the polished concrete flooring, a more innovative and convenient way to beautify the floor while not affecting its original state. [Read the rest of this entry...]
