Jumping Light

20100114201

Since most of us prefer jumping rope to lose weight, why don’t we make use of the kinetic energy generated during that process? The Jumping Light is just a torchlight which is equipped within the skipping rope handle and powered by the electric energy converted from the power produced while you jump the rope. Though rather simple, that’s really a wonderful idea to recycle the energy. [Read the rest of this entry...]

You think table lamps are too boring? So what about attacking your workmates with them during the break time? That sounds funny, right? Just look at the lightsaber-shaped lamp, they’re obviously a lamp that doubles a toy for play. Measuring 13.75 inches tall, the lamp could illuminate your whole desk when powered by the force via the USB. RCA Airnergy Charger

201001131001

RCA has sent in images of their latest project, the Airnergy Charger. It is dubbed as a ‘Wi-Fi Hotspot Power Harvester’, which directly shows us how the device works. Yep, you’ve guessed right, Airnergy Charger ‘harvests’ Wi-Fi signals in the air, converts them into electricity and stores the energy in its own lithium battery. Moreover, even though the users are not on line, the device could also harvest Wi-Fi energy as long as they’re within the signal area. And you could never imagine what a huge amount of energy the Airnergy Charger could produce, as claimed by the company, the energy converted from merely one strong signal could charge a Blackberry from 30% to full in less than 2 hours. Surprisingly powerful! [Read the rest of this entry...]

You-SB Finger

20100113901

You-SB used to be a creative concept that features an artificial finger built with a Flash Dive onto it. Yet a high-tech minded doctor has made that come true by implanting an artificial finger with embedded USB flash drive to Jerry Jalava’s hand. So even though the poor Jerry has lost a finger in a motorcycle accident, he is also lucky to be the first man with an USB finger all around the world.

Pigtail Lamp

20100113801

Who will leave those ugly spiral-shaped energy-saving lamps directly in the air since they have had a hard time designing and fixing their houses? At least I won’t. But after you see the Pigtail Lamp showed here, you may change that opinion and would love to get some home. The designer tactfully associated the ESL’s spiral shape with the pigtail, and finally came up with these lovely lamps. It’s really attractive.

Light Touch

20100113701

Based on the Holographic Laser Projection technology, Light Touch is an interactive projector that can create bright images on flat surfaces like the wall, the table and therefore allow the users to enjoy movies or play the game all the time. And the device takes the very name from that act. But why could the user interact with the machine? That largely attributes to the built-in infrared sensors, which can detect the users’ motion and change the projected image into a virtual touch screen. [Read the rest of this entry...]

Ferocious black Jaguars, red charging Bulls, these familiar images we usually see on Jaguar Cars or Red Bull cans as their logos, have been incorporated into a functional piece of machinery. Believed by their designer Barend, those impressive logos should be emphasized more since they’re the most effective way to interpret the vehicles. How do you like them?

Spa Hotel Slippers

20100113401

Although claimed to be specially designed for spa hotels, the three cute slippers could also perform perfectly for household use. It works in a way like this: featuring a hollowed-out design, the slippers will dry your feet effectively by leaving the water onto the ground after you take a shower or spa. But of course you’ll have to mop the floor after that, which comparatively costs you more time. Anyhow, it’s still your best selection when going for a spa. [Read the rest of this entry...]
