Bike Lanes in the Sky

20100119501

I’m sure some of you already had this idea but designer Martin Angelov beat you all to it with a detailed and seemingly practical concept. It is an elevated bike lane hailed as ‘Kolelinia’. Apart from the track to support your tires, there’s also a guy wire to attach your bicycle at the handlebar level, so as to ensure you a safer riding.

But there’s no more information about how many bikes the lane could bear at one time or how the user could get on to the track. So it is an exciting concept still needing to be further tested and improved. [Read the rest of this entry...]

The ‘Safeguard’ concept is mainly about preventing possible accidents that may happen during the process of moving or shifting heavy loads using a crane. Coming with an infrared sensor on its bottom, the device beams a laser graphic onto the ground as alarm signals to warn people of the danger. ‘Inklet’ Trackpad Tablet

20100119201

Nobody would refuse simple ideas that work effectively, or much more effectively. And ‘Inklet’, a latest concept from Ten One Design, is an advanced piece of software that transforms MacBook’s trackpad into a drawing tablet. That is to say, your multi-touch trackpad of the MacBook would translate what you’ve drawn on the interface into drawing marks with the help of ‘Inklet’, just as you can see in the video after the jump. So, for $24.95, you can use your trackpad like a tablet, doesn’t that sound appealing? Cool! [Read the rest of this entry...]

Puyocon, a ball-shaped mouse

201001181101

Controlling the cursor with a ball? That’s really an interesting idea. But the ball is not an ordinary ball, but a ball-shaped mouse that has 14 built-in pressure sensors, including a three-way acceleration sensor. As a result, the mouse would always control the cursor whenever you roll, squeeze or throw it. Yes, the ‘Puyocon’ mouse has completely changed the traditional way we use a mouse and make it more interesting. I love the idea!

Cosmonaut Lamp

20100118801

We’ve seen a lot of funny lamp concepts, but the Cosmonaut Lamp may be the least elegant one. It’s a lamp with a bulb on its head and looks like an astronaut ready to land on space. The wildest part about the lamp is that it uses fewer wires but mainly polymer clay instead. And inspired by the Cosmonaut Lamp, the designers may come up with more clay lamps that are shaped like a puppy, an E.T. or something else. [Read the rest of this entry...]
