Leaf carving is a kind of well-known folk art from China. Just as its name implies, leaf carving is to produce an artwork by cutting and carving on the leaves without removing any leaf veins. Usually, by the time a leaf carving is accomplished, more than 60 separate operations (including tanning, trimming, soaking, carving, grinding, ironing, bleaching, etc.) have been performed on it.
