Leaf carving is a kind of well-known folk art from China. Just as its name implies, leaf carving is to produce an artwork by cutting and carving on the leaves without removing any leaf veins. Usually, by the time a leaf carving is accomplished, more than 60 separate operations (including tanning, trimming, soaking, carving, grinding, ironing, bleaching, etc.) have been performed on it. DesignBridge created wine glasses that are difficult to smash.

Since every year over 87,000 fights in Britain are caused by drinking, the local designers have been committed to developing a new range of glasses that are more difficult to smash. At present, two prototypes have been finished: the Twin Wall and the Glass Plus. Announced by their creator DesignBridge, the first prototype is inspired by car windscreens and is made by using resin to stick two thin walled glasses together. As for the second design, it features a thin film of bio-resin coated inside the glass. Experiments showed that neither of the two kinds of glasses will be broken into sharp fragments when dropped onto the floor. Therefore, they will reduce the injuries caused by bar fights. Transparent Laptops

Exactly speaking, it is actually the display rather than the whole laptop that is transparent. Announced by its creator Samsung, the transparent screen also allows you to see other items behind it when using the laptop. Does that really make any sense? I mean, you may not accommodate multiple viewpoints. Even so, the concept still sounds cool and perfect to most guys. Announced by Samsung, these 14-inch transparent OLED displays will be in the shops in less than 12 months. Let’s wait and see!

PrePeat Desktop Printer doesn’t use paper.

Who says printers only use paper to print documents? Surprise them with the PrePeat Printer then. Different from conventional printers, PrePeat adopts a thermal head to print on specially-made plastic sheets. These plastic sheets are not merely water-proof, but could be easily erased when you no longer need the temporary documents. Also claimed by the manufacturer, such one sheet could be used up to 1,000 times so that you’ll no doubt reduce your expenses on paper.

Heinz has launched the new series of ketchup packaging, allowing the consumers to enjoy Heinz Ketchup in two ways:

A. You could tear off the tip to squeeze the ketchup out, just as you use the bottled ketchup.

B. You can tear off the sealing film and use the Heinz Dip & Squeeze as a container.

So which is your favorite way to enjoy Heinz?

House On the Water

Though claimed as a yacht, the design is more like a house on the water, cruising at a speed of 12 knots. Featuring a triangular structure, the yacht is 58 meters long and 38 meters wide, accommodating 20 crew and 12 tourists at one time.

It is divided into three levels, where are built with a dinning room, a library, a cinema, a gym, a U-shaped swimming pool and other facilities. Moreover, it utilizes high-efficiency batteries to store energy and adopts a smart system to manage the energy consumption. Sounds really cool, right?
