Toshiba could hardly wait to show you what the LCD displays would be like in the future, and they exhibited a LCD panel that can zoom in and out of an aerial photograph of Google Earth at the SID 2010. The display, featuring a curvature radius of 50mm when bent, is made of a thin edge-lighting LED backlight unit and stuffed with software that can zoom in and out of images. So in the near future, you may change the size of a displayed image simply by bending the LCD. Or you can experience that in advance via the video below.
