Yaniv Berg’s Digital Reflex Camera

20100819301

Featuring a unique shape of a tube, Yaniv Berg’s Digital Reflex Camera (DSLR) will create you an entirely different experience of photography. Firstly, you needn’t have to hold the camera to your face but simply put it against your stomach during the process, since the new camera curves at the end to show you the images. Another change the camera will result in is that you photographers needn’t have to bend down awfully or even lie onto the ground to check out what you’re shooting. The last but not the least is that when you turn the camera, its interface screen then turns the image to display mode and the image will be rotated 180 degree for the observers. Wheelable Cardboard Boxes

20100819101

I am ready to bet you were preparing to make some cardboard wheelers and handles at home. Just like what David Graham have done to create the Move-It concept. It’s an easy do-it-yourself project, consisting of wheels and handles that are made from cardboard. The parts are self-adhesive, making them easy to assemble; the handles are available in two different types, allowing you to haul the cargo in any positions that best suit you. And most importantly, the simple Move-It concept makes moving the cargo no longer a trouble and everyone can easily handle it. [Read the rest of this entry...]

The Land of Giants

20100818301

Designed by Choi + Shine Architects, these towers are powerful—holding up electrical lines with their strong arms, and they’re also variable—changing their gestures as the environments differ. So when the electrical lines ascend a hill, the pylon figures imitate a climbing person but stretch to gain increased height over long spans. Except for the large amounts of possible forms, the pylon-figures can also be placed in pairs, walking side by side or glancing at each other and therefore altering the overall appearance of line routes. Also due to that concept of giving the towers a new look as well as its innovative design, the pylon-figures has become winner of the 2010 Boston Society of Architects Unbuilt Architecture. So  would you like to see them on the lands of your country? [Read the rest of this entry...]

‘CT umbra’ By Nondesigns

20100816301

How should car manufactures promote their new products, when nowadays they have to face more and more competitions? Possibly you’ll soon have an answer after seeing what Los Angeles-based Nondesigns has done to help promote Lexus compact hybrid, CT 200h. The studio created an awesome pixilated Lexus, using 2500 anodized aluminum bars lacquered with blue green on one side and yellow mica on the opposite. All of them were cut into specific lengths and inserted into their locations in the illuminated platform, therefore creating a stylish car that features a glowing effect of colors on its surface. More importantly, the viewers would experience a gradual change in color from gold to organic-blue when they walk around the car. As a result, everyone that has seen the new Lexus will be deeply impressed and we bet most of them would also want to own one. [Read the rest of this entry...]
