20100805301

Needless to say, advertisement sells the products. But sometimes, advertising also helps the companies to spread their outstanding production and management theories, just as it does in the case of the “Hang Anywhere” created for Levi’s to raise public awareness of saving the electricity and other resources. Table Set Design

20100805201

What would happen if we combine the plates and dinning table together? Having that question in mind, Elad Kashi has spent much time designing an innovative table and finally come up with the Table Set. It is a round table built with several ceramic plates on the top so that the users can directly put the dishes onto them without having to serve extra plates. Those plates are also removable, allowing for easy cleaning and installing. [Read the rest of this entry...]

Amazon Tote Bag

20100805101

Now I really envy you guys living in the Seattle area, not for the sweet-smelling coffee but the reusable tote bags provided by Amazon. According to Amazon.com, all the residents in Seattle can select to have their items sent in an Amazon Tote bag that asks for no subscriptions or fees from now on. The only bad part about the bags is that they’re only delivered once per week so you may have to wait for several days to see your orders on the doorstep. But what does that matter, as long as these bags can protect both your items and the environment? I love Amazon and I love the idea. [Read the rest of this entry...]

SMS Slingshot Sends Text Messages Onto Walls.

20100803201

I always thought of slingshot as a toy especially created for naughty boys, as we often saw young boys sending stones or balls onto girls. But the SMS Slingshot designed by Berlin based VR/URBAN has changed my opinion. It is a handheld digital slingshot device that can send color splashes and text messages onto public screens. There’s a mobile built in the wooden device to store messages and a laser to blast those contents onto nearby screens via a projector. So just as what you can see from the video below, the user keys in the messages, shoots the slingshot, and then he/she can find a color splash appear on the screen with the text inside. Smooth Cover For City Drains

20100803101

The Smooth Cover collaborated by Yan-Ting Chen with Hsin Yeh for city drains is quite good an example to prove that small changes of the ordinary gadgets can result in great changes of our life. Compared with regular drain covers, the Smooth Cover features slanted slits that are narrow enough to keep the trash away from the running rain water so that the drains won’t get blocked. And more importantly, the innovative cover promises that ladies wouldn’t have their stiletto stick into the drains any more. Really good news for the stiletto beauties.

Smooth Cover has won winner of the iF Concept Design 2010. [Read the rest of this entry...]
