Here the image looks better, and you may have found that this is a coffee bar that has been flipped on its side. So why did the designer Anurag Nema create such a weird coffee bar? According to Elaine Louie’s September 30, 2010 New York Times story: “When Eugene Kagansky, the owner of D’Espresso on the Lower East Side, decided to open another coffee bar a block away from the New York Public Library at Bryant Park, he told his designer, Let’s do a coffee bar that looks like a library, but would be more interesting.” And hence the interesting coffee bar was built and opened earlier this month, welcoming everybody with its unique beauty.
