Making a speaker is much easier than you’ve ever imagined, and what you need to prepare is merely: textile (or paper), conductive tape and some strong magnets. Try this one made by Hannah Perner-Wilson and you’ll find it quite impressive.

Great idea. I think you could recreate it on cardboard or paper, and upgrade product packages, with sound effects cheaply. They already experiment with light flashing ones, so why not go for sound?

Wow. I wonder what amount of current is running through the coil, since the power supply is labeled 5-100V?

Thats truly cool stuff..
I wonder if you can etch a PCB with coil and use that as the membrane?
Also, The efficiency should increase if you have longer loops coil. Ie. increase the coil length.
