Brain Cap Turns Your Thoughts into Motion.

Researchers from the University of Maryland have invented a “Brain Cap” that would bring blessings to the broad masses of people with disabilities.
Unlike other brain-computer interface technologies, the “Brain Cap” is noninvasive, requiring the users to do little training to use. It utilizes electroencephalography ( EEG) to read brain waves, analyzes the recorded data to determine how the brain fires during specific movements when a person moves, and then helps to reconstruct complex movements of ankle, knee, and hip joints. With the help of such a device, any disabled people can easily control many appliances on their own, including computers, prosthetic limbs and even digital avatars.
