Flameingo Fire Extinguisher

20111019003

Slim, slim, slim, seeming everything nowadays is pursuing a good figure, even includes the fire extinguishers. Have a look at this one by Jinwoo Kim: it features a slim body design that fits in small storage space, thus makes it quite outstanding among common round-shaped fire extinguishers.  Besides, the Flameingo also comes with a replaceable cartridge to reduce waste; its pressure indicator and a built-in alarm also allow users to check out the status of the extinguisher more easily. When there’s fire breaking out, a LED light will soon switch on for people to find the extinguishers quickly.

SideBySide Handheld Projectors for Multiplayer Games

20111018087

Disney is a wonderful place full of imaginations, in my mind, thus it’s quite amazing to see its research labs come up with the SideBySide handheld projectors for multiplayer games. Each unit combines a camera with a modified DLP projector that outputs a single color of visible light and also an invisible infrared image. The IR image can be detected by the camera built with second projector, which would then know clearly where the image output by the first projector is and what it is doing, and thus create another image to interact with the first one. That may sound a little complicated, but you’ll soon find out how it works with the video after the jump.

Anything that comes with an outlook nothing to do with its functions is usually interesting. And the Pistol Hairdryer shown here is rightly a good example. It is shaped like a pistol, however shots no bullets but hot air instead. If possible, I’d like to try it.

Innovative Dustbin by Brendan Ravenhill

20111017002

Dustpan, trashcan and broom are three necessary things for household cleaning. For quite a long time, they’re designed and used separately, until Brendan Ravenhill’s dustbin that integrated them together. In this design, the dustpan also serves as the lid of a trashcan, subtly attaches onto the top of the trashcan and moves for you to use.  The beech wood brush can hang on side of the bin with embedded rare earth magnets, thus making it easy and clean for storage.

The Safest Writing Desk

20111015018

“My Writing Desk” is a workplace put forward by Inesa Malafej, and honestly that’s something I’m looking for. It features a storage tough around three sides of the table top, thus keeps the writing surface clean while still makes the user’s things close at hand. Moreover, the high edges can protect your cellphones, cups or tablets form falling onto the ground, and that’s why it is deemed as “the safest writing table”.

iPhone Belt Buckle

20111015001

What is the safest way to keep your iPhones? One answer suggested here is to put it inside your belt buckles. Of course that’s just for kidding, but the concept of this iPhone Belt Buckle is really interesting.
