Transformable “Twist”

Somebody cares quite much about the environment, so they are trying hard to avoid using too many bowls or bags in order to save water and other resources; others, like me, are just too lazy to do the housework so we try to use as few bowls as we can too. Yaps, we may have different motives, but we’re all forwarding in the same direction and we all need the “Twist” by Nick Burrows. It’s transformable, capable of shifting between a bag, a microwave oven proof container and an ordinary bowl. Just twist to change it, and then you can do something beneficial to both you and the environment.

Snappily 3D iPhone Photography App

While the whole world fall in love with iPhone, iPhone loudly says “I love 3D”. To show its love for the popular technology, the Apple Company recently launched an iOS app that allows your iPhone to take 3D photos or shoot 3D videos. The “Snappily” is use to operate, simply download it onto your iPhone, follow the instructions on the screen and then you can make some 3D images. According to reviews, the app seems bit of difficult to get used to, but once you do, the 3D effects are fantastic.

New Carbon Neutral Cement that Mimics Coral

Based on their observations and researches of carol, scientists from Stanford University have developed a new technology to produce cement by mimicking carol’s action of taking in minerals and CO2 to build its hard exoskeleton. Therefore, during the construction process of the new cement, the material actually absorbs CO2 and dissolves it instead of releasing CO2 as common cements do, so as to benefit to the environments. The new cement is durable too, strong enough to last for a long time.

Toshiba’s Gamma Camera Can Reveal Harmful Radiation

Toshiba’s latest development is a portable video camera that provides real-time visualizations of radiation hotspots. It is built with a radiation sensor and a signal processing device, indicating the amount of radiation in different colors: red for high amounts of radiation and yellow, green, blue for lower levels. The device is not only functional, but also saves large quantity of time usually spent on radiation detection, thus claimed to be quite ideal for detection work. The company will have a field test of the camera in collaboration with Fukushima City within this month and plan to promote its use to the central bureaucracy and local governments in Japan in early 2012.

LEGO, LEGO, LEGO, with repeatedly appearing in my vision, that word (and that toy) has already annoyed me so much that I really don’t want to see anything relevant to that. But except for this LEGO Brick iPhone Case.
