Satellites that can Dock Together in Space

UK-based Surrey Satellite Technology Limited (SSTL) Company is now working with University of Surrey to develop a revolutionary technology that allows little satellites to dock together into big ones after they’re launched into orbit. Announced to be low-cost and low-risk, this new technology will utilize Kinect motion-control sensors, which are built on satellite to allow twin satellites to scan their immediate vicinity and build up an accurate three-dimensional map. As each small satellite is able to track one another, a bigger and better satellite will then be built in space.
