An Umbrella That Can Play Music
Posted on July 3, 2012 by molly

Can you imagine that this umbrella can play music? Well, how does it work? Sensitive sensors were attached to the canopy of the umbrella, which was connected to an Arduino microcontroller on a simple circuit. When the sensors were struck by the falling rain, an electric charge is generated. And in response to that, Arduino microcontroller, a silicon chip, randomly produces 8 bit tunes, which is then amplified by a speaker. It may not be able to play your favorite music, but it is inspirational- you can be creative with everyday objects.
