Smarter socks can communicate with your iPhone

Each Smarter Sock is fitted with a communication button-a NFC chip. Simply scan it with the Sock Sorter, and when the socks are paired, your iPhone informs you by making a noise. In addition, your iPhone know how often they are washed, and how black they are. Clever!
