Leaf carving is a kind of well-known folk art from China. Just as its name implies, leaf carving is to produce an artwork by cutting and carving on the leaves without removing any leaf veins. Usually, by the time a leaf carving is accomplished, more than 60 separate operations (including tanning, trimming, soaking, carving, grinding, ironing, bleaching, etc.) have been performed on it. What, you haven’t heard of the Chocolate Theme Park? You must be kidding, right? The Chocolate Wonderland Park in Beijing is ready to accept customers on 29th, this month.
Located on the north side of the Bird’s Nest Olympic Stadium, the park includes five pavilions (the World’s Chocolate Hall, World’s Candy Hall, Wonderland Theme Hall, Sweet Experience Hall and Sweet Gift Hall) and two outdoor activity areas (the Sweet Stage and Sweet Shopping Street). With clay shrouded on the metal shelves, Maarten Baas also makes some surface treatment on them, which results the fans to show a totally different kind of visual effect from its mental essence.
As the world’s first chair that is made of a live tree, it cost the old man seven years to complete it. During this period, the designer gradually improved his scheme to suit the growth of this tree, which is already over ten years old. But who knows what the chair will eventually become? Perhaps only time can give you an accurate answer.
Coming from Malaysia, these lovely stones-painted animals can act as door decorations, letter weights, etc. It’s also a great joy to see any lifelike animal stones inside the room. Doesn’t your room seem to be more vibrant now?
