Though seems very common, the table actually could successfully protect people from possible injuries during the earthquake, which has been approved by a series of rigorous vertical impact tests. As an additional bonus, the earthquake-proof table also takes into account the financial limitations of people who may need it, and thus it will be produced with cost effective, yet responsible production methods and durable inexpensive materials.

Danish designer Jakob Joergensen has created the Fjarill Drawers, a distinctive piece of furniture with drawers opened in different directions, to bring some new inspirations to the boring world composed of traditional pull-out drawers. Apparently the Fjarill has a diagonal slot channeled beneath each drawer, but we still couldn’t figure out its exact mechanism because there’s no specific explanation for that. Anyhow, the end effect is undeniably amazing, especially when all the drawers are pulled out.

Basically it’s not that difficult to make a stool but very difficult to design one. However, these Stitching Concrete stools here cost the designer’s much energy and time in both its design and production process.

It is made of concrete canvas, with colorful threads stitched along sides. To make such a stool, the designer firstly soaked concrete canvas in water, manipulated it for a certain shape and then left it to harden. The finished stools are strong enough to sit, and also fireproof and waterproof.
