It’s a dress and it’s a boat, Canada-based designer Jacqueline Bradley’s artwork features a surprisingly perfect combination of two commonly irrelevant things and accomplishes an impressive visual effect. But there’s still one thing I really want to know: will the dress float on the water just as regular boats do if we wear it in the water?

With more than 700 hours spent on about one ton of paper, Jum Nakao finally finishes with these delicate paper dresses and showcases them all through the internet. Each piece features stylish patterns and elegant structures but their beauty and delicacy exists merely for a limited while, as all these dresses are destroyed after the show. Why? Because the designer wants to show that “there is something more important, something much more lasting than what people see and value at first sight”.

In the future everybody can devote more to bettering our environment simply by wearing an innovative dress that announced to have the ability to absorb pollutants in air. Dubbed “Herself”, the prototypical dress is the world’s first dress that can purify air. According to the designers from London College of Fashion and University of Sheffield, “forty people wearing such clothing could purify two meters of airspace in just one minute, if they were all standing in one meter of pavement.” Even though the team revealed few details about the project, the clothing’s powerful ability in purifying air still arouses people’s great interest and concern. Hopefully it will soon become real clothes for wearing and we bet that would start a new era for clothes designs.

At the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, Lady GaGa surprised the whole world with her weird dress made from beef, but actually she was not the first one to wear a food dress. Ted Sabarese shot a series of images called “Hunger Pains” last year, showing us various clothing finished with vegetables, fruits, bread, etc. And in the pictures these food dress look much better than the one for Lady GaGa.

We often look into the mirrors to find ourselves and others, but a street performer from Los Angeles has made a special use of mirrors—to make himself an invisible man!

Hundreds of mirrors are used to make the costume he is wearing.

Large pieces are placed on the front and the back.

Smaller ones are fixed on the head and hands to provide enough movement.
