Isay Weinfeld’s Village Bookstore is a convertible and mobile design for library Livraria da Vila. Everyday it offers consumers with plenty of books while utilizes four huge movable bookcases as display windows when closed in the evenings. So no matter you walk outside or inside the bookstore, you’ll always see a world full of books. Isn’t that amazing?

Steve Kuhl is absolutely a greatest father, because he has built so spectacular a bedroom for kids that almost every adult would dream to get it. The theme for this bedroom is “pirate ship”, and walking through it you’ll see walls painted with colors of the sea, a ship, and a rope bridge that connects the ship to the top of a jail cell. Thus it is a real kids’ house, a bedroom for them to live in, study in and also play in. Brilliant!

If we cannot create more space, the best possible method to make a fantastic bathroom fit into our small apartments is to cleverly reuse every inch… For example, we may build a foldable bathroom or have a bathtub with a lid. When they’re not in use, more space will be available for us to do other things. Isn’t that great?! I really love the idea.

Guru celebrated the Valentine’s Day in quite a unique way: it asked 11 artists to design several interesting T-shirts and showcased them on February 14th. Javier Senosiain’s Shell House must have been the envy of all their neighbors, friends, and you guys in front of the screen. The building is designed with a shell shape, decorated with colorful glass, equipped with pleasant light and filled with green plants. So whenever you view it from the outside or walk through the interior, you’ll always find a wonderful combination of nature beauty and architecture art.

Those who really love animals are quite willing to share everything they have with the naughty little guys. Recently an England-based designer has rebuilt the house with suspending bars, holes and other unique facilities, making it a house also suitable for cats. With so many convenient accesses and entertainment facilities, the cats now can enjoy a more pleasant life.

Conference rooms are also related to art, and one of our examples is the Saatchi & Saatchi’s conference room in their Beijing office. The room is characterized by innovative appearance and elegant interior decoration. Centered in it, a heart-shaped conference table is surrounded by classic Eero Saarinen tulip chairs. A rotating wall is also featured, allowing for movie screenings from the projector mounted on the ceiling. Besides, a flat screen is fixed on the interior wall, to meet the users’ different needs of presentations. Simply put, the conference room is a small room inside a bigger room, and that’s also why the design stands out of those innovative buildings worldwide.

‘Mountainous Brook’, just as its name implies, is an innovative bathroom suite designed to create natural atmosphere inside urban buildings. The Redo Sudio has drawn the inspiration from the nature, and therefore the design features several natural elements like the mountains and the spring.

Combining a basin, a shower and the toilet in one single unit, ‘Mountainous Brook’ has successfully achieved its goal to save up the limited space of urban departments.

But the point people like most is the shower, which spreads like a spring with two streams to separately form the basin and the toilet. Using transparent plastic and bright ceramics as main material, the designers also endow the unit with an aesthetically pleasing look.

The first time I looked at the Hydrofloors, I thought the thing shouldn’t exist, coz more and more people including me would go crazy! Compared with luxury swimming pools, the hidden pool created by Hydrofloors is more attractive, magnificent and of course more expensive. Whenever you’d like to swim, you can easily make the floors sink into the ground to a needed depth, using a control panel. Cool as that!

‘Experiencing the Void’ is an innovative concept put forward by JDS architects for the Guggenheim museum. It is based on Frank Lloyd Wright’ concepts of space, which believes that users will have a continuous spatial experience when walling up or down a spiral-shaped ramp. And therefore ‘Experiencing the Void’ is mainly about a trampoline net that spirals down from the museum’s ceiling to the floor. The playful concept not only provides a functional walking alternative, but will help enhancing the social relationship between people.

Architectural firms SeARCH has teamed up with another firm CMA to keep the whole building surrounded by natural landscapes. And when going through an underground tunnel, you’ll then find yourself inside Villa Vals’ interior, which makes full the use of the limited space to ensure you a comfortable living. If you’re planning to decorate your boy’s bedroom, you should have a look at the Jurassic Park Themed Bedroom presented here. A mural that reflects the Dinosaur Days, and a dinosaur’s bottom jaw as the bed, will any boy resist a room like this? You know, they love adventures and they love dinosaurs.

Wow, it came as quite a shock to me. The wall is unbelievably full of outlets! Surely that saves us much trouble to fix different sorts of sockets for TVs, stereos, but wait, how can you tell the real outlets? I mean, not every socket on the wall is ready-to-use…

At present, it is really boring to go on a long-distance trip, especially for those passengers in economy plus. However, this situation will be ameliorated soon, due to the new flex-seat designs. As shown in the pictures, this product will ensure passengers more headspaces and allow them to have a good sleep. If so, even long trip will become comfortable, right?

The natural life may be just a sweet dream to most people. However, with the wall mounting mini garden which allows you to plant vegetables on the wall, you can easily create a green circumstance both at home and in office.
As the wall mounting garden is composed of several small modules, it’s convenient to fix them on the wall with tailor-made holders and take them off to water the plants. Due to a special treatment to the soil, you can supply fertilizer to the vegetable garden just once every year. Then what plants are suitable for cultivation? There’re many choices, such as scallion, basil, coriander, mint, tomato, strawberry, rosemary and so on.

This cloud shaped object is a commissioned by British Airways for their new luxury lounges in Heathrow Airport in London, and was constructed by the Troika art and design studio. It measures 5 meters long and is covered with 4,638 of those little flip dot things that you still occasionally see in train station displays.

This is an odd art design of 21 century museum of contemporary art Kanazawa in Japan designed by Leandro Erlich. The water is only 50cm deep and the deeper part underneath is the indoor museum.
