‘Gelpoly’ Sheet From Korea

“Gelpoly” is a surface protection and surface ornamentation adhesive film that features an excellent self-tackiness and removing ability. Showcased during ‘The 19th Korea International Sign & Design Show (KOSIGN 2011)’, the new sheet is mainly made of polyester film, also with a special Olefin elastomer resin.  Except for its easy adhesion, the film is even re-adhesive with water.

Face Sunglass

Quite interestingly, the ‘Face Sunglass’ reminded me of a mask commonly used in factories the first time I saw it. I mean, it seems more like a mask rather than sunglasses actually. But the product is said to feature a good protection function that can block 99.9% UV rays, thus keeps both your eyes and your skin away from overexposure. It is available in three sizes, with a price tag varying from 16000KRW to 21000KRW.

From Robotic Hands Clock to Bungee Jumping Mint Clock, Korean designer Jongchul Kim has surprised us with really amazing clocks. And right here is another wall clock that you’ll fancy. It’s the Marionette Clock, which shows time with its hanging hand that is hooked up with the string to two Mint Boys at the top. FILS Sound Film

Transparent, flexible, then what is the item actually used for? Have you guessed right? It’s a speaker! Developed by Korean electronics manufacturer FILS, the transparent speaker is made from piezoelectric film and therefore can produce sound waves whenever the electrical current is applied. Pity that the FILS Sound Film is still just a concept, but if the thing gets real, you’ll know its outstanding characteristics as well as we do.

Modern Chong-sa-cho-rongs

In ancient Korea, people used to take ‘Chong-sa-cho-rong’ lantern to welcome guests in the night. And so does ‘Chong-sa-cho-rong’ serve as a lamp when indoors. In modern times, when most people no longer using ‘Chong-sa-cho-rong’, designer Cho hyung suk has redesigned this traditional lantern to make it easily transported. The modern lantern comprises four lamps and a wooden structure that keeps them together, which is therefore much brighter and much solider than traditional ones.
