Surrounded by dull concrete every day, people nowadays are always looking for something special, bright, smart or weird to give their common life a sparkling shine of light. Fortunately, the lighting unit designed by Asobi deserves our attention: made from lightweight carbon fiber, the lights can be ordered in 4, 6, and 12 LED configurations that spread out in all directions just like a spider’s web. It’s nothing to do with elegance or entertainment, but the light itself is really unique in pattern and function.
Daddy Long Legs in the famous novel is obviously different from this table lamp put forward by Produkt of Design, but they all feature really long legs that impress us quite much. The lamp here, which is both adjustable and functional, can change its legs into various shapes, either providing a unique appearance or serving as a simple bookshelf.
Chemistry and art are two separate words that seemingly would never have any connections, but designer Pani Jurek’s “Maria S.C. Lamp” has now brought them together. The stability of wood and the elasticity of spring are seemingly two completely opposite characters, however in the “Lights Up” Nakarin Kemseela has successfully combined that two characters together by designing an adjustable wood frame lampshade. The result is quite amazing, coz the lamp not only features an interesting aesthetic, but also emphasizes big convenience for users to freely adjust the quantity of light. Fabulous!
