Christmas is coming, are you planning a trip for your family? If so, we strongly recommend you a trip to the natural reserve of Huilo Huilo in Chile, where there’s also a beautifully constructed hotel named as “Magic Mountain Lodge”. Built with a unique shape of a volcano, the lodge is actually surfaced with waterfall, which makes the building quite refreshing both indoors and outdoors. As the hotel is the best in Chile, its price may be bit of expensive: one night there will cost you $250 to $400.

Designed by Choi + Shine Architects, these towers are powerful—holding up electrical lines with their strong arms, and they’re also variable—changing their gestures as the environments differ. So when the electrical lines ascend a hill, the pylon figures imitate a climbing person but stretch to gain increased height over long spans. Except for the large amounts of possible forms, the pylon-figures can also be placed in pairs, walking side by side or glancing at each other and therefore altering the overall appearance of line routes. Also due to that concept of giving the towers a new look as well as its innovative design, the pylon-figures has become winner of the 2010 Boston Society of Architects Unbuilt Architecture. So would you like to see them on the lands of your country?

The sunlight filters through clouds, glints through the leaves, and finally shines bright on a girl’s faces, dancing on her eyelids and hairs… That sounds wonderful, right? But the beautiful scene wasn’t seen in the wild country where are full of trees, but in a white box with a few square meter footprint. So welcome to the Unlimited Urban Woods, an illusory forest installed by DUS Architects in a public plaza in Oosterdokskade, Amsterdam, using a series of strategically angled mirrors and one single full-size tree. Really magical! And we bet the forest inside the box is no less unusual than the Wonderland that Alice has come across.

Giant green cloud is gradually moving in the sky, with its long tail following behind…but wait, how could the cloud come along with a tail? But I’m not kidding, as what you’ve seen in the picture is actually the Ga Green Cloud created by Helen Evans and Heiki Hansen, with the help of a laser transmitter. It is a fantastic artwork which takes over the sky of Helsinki, Finland. If you’re living near to the Salmisaari power plant, then you’re lucky to see that every night.

On December 9th, 2009, as thousands of citizens recalled, a mysterious light appeared in the sky above Norway. Firstly, it was a blue light that was soaring up from behind a mountain, and then, it gradually turned into a giant spiral, which almost covered the entire sky. About 10 to 12 minutes later, the light finally disappeared and the citizens went back to bed again.

So what do you think about this phenomenon? The tracks of a moving UFO? Aurora borealis? Well, the Meteorological Institute doesn’t think so. It is widely believed that the light was caused by the Russian missile launch, which went wrong as we all knew. However, the Russian government didn’t share this view.

According to ‘The Berg’ website, Berliners are getting down to considering creating a man-made mountain in Berlin, as another tourist-attracting option. Proposed by the German architect Jakob Tigges, the largest man-made mountain will be 1000m tall, and covered with snow on its peak for at least half the year. If that finally come true, a range of activities like skiing, hang-gliding and rock climbing would be available to the Berlins, rightly inside their city. But is the mountain just a hoax or a real opportunity? We may keep a watch on ‘The Berg’ website to find the answer.

Sitting in the rear of the car is pretty boring, so you need some video game. But the background of the game is always the same. Need some change? You will like this one named carcade. Designed by Berlin University of Arts students Nicolas Fischer, Martin Kim Luge and Korbinian Polk, this game can capture the landscape outside the car with the camera and converts the it into the video game environment.

Make sure that you’re not driving the car while playing carcade.

Do you like nature? Then, you should not ignore this plasma combined with a artificial waterfall.
Although it’s fairly beautiful, the lack of TV tuner make it not fit for ordinary family show. However, I think it’s a good idea to broadcast AD in public area.
