Hobo Lantern

Made of energy-efficient LED light and translucent fibers, the Hobo Lantern is a stylish bag that also doubles as a portable luminary. It was inspired by the urban nightlife of Zona Tortona during Design Week, and via the design Todd MacAllen aims to offer people some fashionable and functional accessories. Powered by 8 AA batteries, the Hobo can be safely used even when the LED light is turned on, and you may find it fabulous to go across the streets with a glowing bag.

Kutch Lantern

You need a lantern not merely because you want it to light up the dark room, but also because you would find some fun with it. An interesting, beautiful, but also practical product has been something that every designer hopes to attain, and certainly Charles Jones is amongst them. And he succeeded. The Kutch Lantern is a lighting device which could be turned on when you squeeze its body (which is squeezable of course) or spin the rotary dial at its base, and that’s totally different from other lanterns on the market. Giant Chinese Lantern

Have you ever seen a lantern bigger than this? Measuring 12 feet wide and 63 inches deep, the Giant Chinese Lantern by Bart Lens is so huge that you can hardly associate it with the word “lantern” or “lamp”. Modern Chong-sa-cho-rongs

In ancient Korea, people used to take ‘Chong-sa-cho-rong’ lantern to welcome guests in the night. And so does ‘Chong-sa-cho-rong’ serve as a lamp when indoors. In modern times, when most people no longer using ‘Chong-sa-cho-rong’, designer Cho hyung suk has redesigned this traditional lantern to make it easily transported. The modern lantern comprises four lamps and a wooden structure that keeps them together, which is therefore much brighter and much solider than traditional ones.
