Corner’s Communication Warning Sign

20100308301

Surely no one would mind bumping into the other person if they fortuitously found their Mr. Right or Ms. Right. But who knows whether or not the God is playing a trick on you? So my suggestion is: you should be careful enough when rushing around the corner, or simply pay attention to the Corner’s Communication Warning Sign. Designed by Sanghoon Lee, the corner sign could sense the sound emitted by someone approaching around and then light up to warn the other guys. That’s especially ideal for public places like the hospitals, restaurants and offices, where a large number of people walk around frequently. [Read the rest of this entry...]

Energy-saving Multitap & Ambient Lights

20100303601

Although named as the “Saving Energy Multitap”, the strip actually won’t directly reduce your electricity cost, but helps you to develop a good habit of unplugging the unused gadgets from the strip so as to save the energy. It sucks up the energy wasted by the unplugged devices and uses it in a rational way—to power the touch-sensitive ambient lights on the wall. The main task of the ambient lights is to remind you to switch off those unplugged gadgets if you no longer use them. As for the ambient lights, they could also be turned on or off via simple tapping. [Read the rest of this entry...]

LED Squeezable Lights

20100209901

I cannot think of a rational reason why I love these squeezable LED lights, but I just know clearly I do. Diana Lin’s d°light Bubbles are silicone LED lights that give out a ‘whoo’ sound when you squeeze them. Apart from decorating your stylish room, these lights also seem like a better way for you to spend a tiresome evening. Just squeeze, squeeze and squeeze! [Read the rest of this entry...]

‘Push on the light’ to illuminate the night.

20100112501

The only association between light and switch is that we use the switch to turn on/off the light. That’s totally right but Sungi Kim also believes that the switch itself could doubles a light. And that’s the main concept behind the innovative design ‘Push on the light’. It looks just like a simple switch for most of the time, but it will then work as a light when you push on the short end of it. Amazing! [Read the rest of this entry...]

Dew Lamp

¥ Yana_Klimava_fial competition board

Inspired by the dew that are shining on leaves and flowers in the early morning, the Dew Lamp absorbs sunlight and stores it in the light emitting fabric during the daytime while gives off soft light via those polished mirrors in the night, creating a romantic atmosphere. But again, the artificial product makes me feel that only those truly natural things are the best. Anyhow, we should still thank Yana Klimava for his wonderful work. [Read the rest of this entry...]
