A knife will be locked into position when you turn it by 90 degree clockwise. And after that, a UV sterilization process will be started to make your knives more secure for use.

When there were no wires or chains, humans used to bind things together or hold something in position with ivy. But when the same ivy is used today, it is deemed as a decorative accessory rather than a tool. Designed by Sono Mocci for ‘Seoul Cycle Design Competition 2010′, the new lock for bikes comes with a green and fresh look, and it appears the same as real ivy you’ll find in the nature. Hopefully ducks and chicks wouldn’t mistake that as their meals… Just for kidding.

You can never insert the key into the keyhole correctly in the dark, unless you have a flashlight…or the “V Lock”. It features a V, which would “guide” your key to the keyhole easily. Simply put, you find the V in the dark, you put the key into the V, and then you open the door. Easy as that!

The ‘Help Lock Doorknob’ by Haishan Deng is designed for ensuring an instant rescue if you stay in the room for too long a time. ‘Help Lock’ asks the users to pre-program a phone number and a time limit the first time you activate it. Once the time runs out, the doorknob will sound for 30 seconds to warn you to get out of the room. But if you don’t switch off the first alarm, the device will then call to the programmed number and open the door automatically for the help. Such a device could be quite ideal for those living with the disabled or elderly folks, who are easier to get hurt when bathing alone.

As you can see from the pictures, the outer circle works as the minute hand and the inner key hole is actually the hour hand. You’ve gotten that? Good.
