Microsoft Electronic Diabetic Contact Lens

Electronic diabetic contact lens is a development collaborated by scientist from University of Washington and Microsoft Research, which is announce to ensure a wireless monitoring of the wearer’s blood sugar levels. The contact lens utilizes an enzyme-based electrochemical process sensitive to glucose, as the enzyme interacts with the tear fluid, certain measurements are then made and reported to the users.

Microsoft Code Space

As the best thing we’ve ever met until now for us to use the Kinect, Microsoft’s “Code Space” is a smart system that combines the Kinect gaming controller with laptops and cellphones, in order to bring people a totally different experience of meeting. It allows people to actively participate in the meeting, to upload or download meeting data directly with their gestures or cellphone. Microsoft Research’s Pinch-the-Sky Project

Microsoft, who has long enjoyed a high reputation both at home and abroad, attracted people all around the world again last month, with its new research project “Pinch-the-Sky”. It is a dome that is equipped with an omni-directional camera, a projector and a 3D model of the solar system. The project is also based on the multi-touch technology, which enables the visitors to navigate and manipulate the 360 degree image presented on the roof using freehand gestures or voice commands. Skinput: Touchscreen Interface based on your Skin

While most researchers are trying to improve the touchscreen interfaces used on PC, cellphones and MP3 players, Carnegie Mellon University and Microsoft have developed a touch-interface for your skin. That’s really terrific! The ‘Skinput’ includes a micro-sized pico projector, which is embedded in an armband to beam an interface on the skin. But it actually uses an acoustic detector —which would match the sound frequencies with specific skin locations—to recognize which part  you’ve tapped. The revolutionary technology also supports wireless applications like Bluetooth.

Stylish, smart and elegant, the 12″ x 6″ wireless keyboard is a latest product of Microsoft. It features some arched keys to ensure you an easier typing. The Arc Keyboard uses the 2.4GHz wireless band instead of Bluetooth, and therefore allows the users to control their computers within a long distance of up to 30 feet. Surface is very impressive. But Microsoft intends to give us more surprise. This new technology named SecondLight is one example. It is actually a dual-projection system, which can identify where the table is being touched and projects a second alternative image in mid-air. OMG. Unbelievable?
