Using discarded car and bicycle parts he collected everywhere, Bangkok-based artist Roongrojna Sangwongprisarn has created a perfectly-detailed Predator-inspired motorcycles that are drivable too. Have a close look at its stunning details and florid exterior coating – who would ever believe the vehicle is made with old bike parts? Though there’s no information about its speed, we’re still quite interested in the motorcycle: when riding such a cool vehicle, who would need speed, right? Let’s just ride it slowly, and attracting everybody in the street.

My only reason to reject a motorcycle that it is completely exposed to wind, rain, snow, sunshine, is no more tenable after Lit Motors has launched its C-1 fully-enclosed two-passenger motorbike. Yaps, the weather will never threaten the riders! And that’s not all, because the C-1 is self-balancing too, using an electronically-controlled gyroscopic stabilizing system to stay upright when stopped. With all those outstanding features, the Lit Motors’ C-1 will be available at a really high price of about US$24,000 by late 2013, which may go down to $16,000 once full production gets under way in 2014.

To offer motorcyclists a better protection, designer Rejean Neron has put forward a new motorbike suit “Safety Sphere” that automatically inflates into a sphere to envelop the riders if they fall onto the ground in a crash. The suit can inflate to its capacity within 5/100ths of a second, and claims capable of cushioning the impact of crash with its compressed air. But on the other hand, the design is still bit of ridiculous: once the motorcyclist is protected in a ball, will they keep rolling on the ground without any brakes?!

Its main aim is to promote TOTO’s environmental efforts, by converting human waste into bio-gas fuel. On a design show held by Triumph Motorcycles and Birmigham Institute of Art and Design, many students brought us with various smart gadgets made out of recycled motorcycle parts.

Every gadget in the collection has a stylish appearance and you’ll find that it is actually alright and good to build household items with handbrake, headlights, instrument panel and other parts of a motorbike.

Exhibited at the Consumer Electronics Show 2011, the foldable motorcar surprised every visitor because it can balance on merely two wheels.

Based on an advanced Segway system, the electronic scooter can keep a good balance on two wheels and run freely in crowded streets. And it can smartly change its working mode during the move and operates like a typical motorcycle if you press the control button. It is said the vehicle’s top speed can reach about 35 miles per hour and its range is 30 miles. Wanna to have a try, right? You’ll get the chance when they’re launched to the market next year.

Can you imagine that all these deliberate mini motorbikes are transformed from old cigar lighters? Somebody has recently achieved a big success, by disassembling the cigar lighters and then building mini cars with all those components. Isn’t that great? The designer of the Conquest Motorcycle is quite concerned about the leg-impaired people and wants them to enjoy the motorbikes as much as we do. Powered by an 1170 CC BMW engine, the three-wheeled motorcycle can go from 0 to 60 mph in 7.6 seconds and features a top speed of 105 mph. Since it is designed for wheelchair users, the Conquest Motorcycle also features an entrance at the back for the users to get onto the vehicle while remaining in his/her own wheelchair.

Welcome to the magnificent-looking Aptera Motor. It’s white, it’s cool, it’s powered by electricity and it has three wheels. That’s for real, and the Aptera 2E will hit the market sometime this year. But before you see them in stores, you should firstly get a thorough understanding of them. Executed by a boat builder and a biotechnology engineer, the car focuses on aerodynamics to realize a greater speed and effectiveness. The vehicle also has an electric engine that has the ability to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 10 seconds and reach a top speed of 137km/h.  On the roof, there’s also a solar panel, which is used to run the heat pump. Another point worthy mentioning is the materials used in the interior, which is made from recycled materials and organic dyes to make the Aptera 2E an eco-car. According to the manufactures, they’ll also adopt a plug-in hybrid engine to lower the cost so as to make the motors available to everyone.

As its designer has adopted the concept of jet plane, this motorbike is equipped with a plane-like cabin, which ensures it much faster and safer for the driver. Therefore the motorbike can reach a highest speed of 2.5 kilometers per hour, and it takes only 5.7 seconds to accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour from its startup. Expected price: $82350

Invented by Jake Loniak, this Yamaha branded exoskeleton motorcycle can be worn like a coat. It manoeuvres based on the rider’s movements, adjusting 36 pneumatic muscles. Therefore, it is agility than traditional ones. But, I think it might be more dangerous too.

Foldable bike is very common and some of them have been fairly popular. But foldable motorcycle is relatively less.

But the bike we’re introducing today is not only a foldable motor but also a solar one. In order to make the sunlight collecting process more efficient, its whole body, after folded, is covered by solar panel and a curve stand can reflect more sunlight to boost efficiency as well.
