London-based artist Zadok Ben David has created a unique garden full of 12,000 painted stainless steel cut plants that are inspired by Victorian botanical illustrations in textbooks. Each of these plants is delicately cut, with dark black on one side while bright colors on the other. As a mirror is built rightly behind these plants, they thus allow the viewers to see different plant structures simultaneously.

With the Christmas Day coming nearer, what’s now popular on the internet isn’t this year’s Christmas tree however, but next year’s Eiffel Tower Tree instead. From June, 2012, about 6,00,000 plants will cover the Eiffel Tower, costing an astonishing £65 million. If the plan goes smoothly, quite soon we’ll see the world’s tallest tree in Paris, which is also expected to absorb more greenhouse gases at that time.

“Life within Objects” is a design that provides us a new way to interact with animals and plants. Put forward by Spanish-based designer Martín Azúa, the chair integrates a plant pot and an animal shelter with a seating device. Made of recyclable polyethylene with the rotomolding technique, the chair is ideal for both indoors and outdoors use, therefore allowing you to live a harmony life with your turtle, rabbit and your plants.

Origami is charming. You see, any common paper can find its values when transformed into a origami sculpture. Almost all the sculptures here are carefully folded from a single uncut square sheet of paper, visually represent animals, plants and fictional characters.

Plant Robot, designed by Japan-based Akira Nakayasu, gets its name not only from the same shape as real plants, but also from the fact that it can make the leaves wave too. It has 169 mechanical branches and each of them is controlled by a separate engine. As a result, the leaves will wave automatically when you sweep your hands across them.

There’re large varieties of flowers growing in nature but only the white elegant calla lily blooms inside your bathroom. Designed by architect Oriano Favaretto, the new bathroom suite not only shows the graceful lines of the flower but features a drop shaped faucet, and all those have successfully kept us in good touch with the beautiful nature.

Entitled as “The Plant”, these bar stools designed by Svilen Gamolov each has an elegant shape, just as the real plants do. They’re made up of fiberglass with fabric upholster, and acryl, each measuring 86 cm in height, 50 cm in width and 50 cm in depth. But will you feel that you’re sitting on a tree when you’re seated on such Plant shaped stools? Do tell me your feelings when you see them in a bar.

In my opinion, there’s no pot on earth more eco-friendly or nutritious than average soil, oh wait, it is rightly where the plants are originally belongs.
