Shakeable MP3 Player from Samsung

20100215601

Announced during Samsung’s CES press conference, the TicToc is believed a perfect alternative to Apple’s iPod Shuffle. Based on a built-in motion sensor, TicToc allows the users to change tunes by shaking the player slowly or quickly. The more slowly you shake the player, a much gentler music will be chosen, and vice versa. There’s a big button on one end to control the volume and a headphone port on the other. Turn the button to face the ground when you want to decrease the volume and make sure the button faces up if you’d like to increase the volume. The Samsung TicToc could support MP3, WMA, OGG, and FLAC audio formats with 12 hours of battery life. It will soon be available in two versions (2GB and 4GB capacities) but still no price has been announced. [Read the rest of this entry...]

201001121201

The designers always know clearly what we’ll want, and they’ve come up with the products already before we consumers realize our needs. Just look at the Music Drop Mp3 Player, it’s obviously another product meant for “unexpected pleasure”. It adopts a projection system to take the place of traditional LCD screens and therefore allows the users to check out relevant information on their hands, the paper or even walls. Light-weight, portable, personalized-shape and an easy way to use, all those advantages make the player a ‘most-needed product’ on our grocery list. [Read the rest of this entry...]

Rad Blaster, a boom box that is small and light.

20091218501

The further we move on, the more acutely we feel that we kids born in the 80s are the fortunate generation, as we had rather an unforgettable time before cell phones, computers and players came to us. We had boom boxes those days, and we do miss them a lot. Still luckily, we now could have them back, in a new form. Look at these MP3 players, they’re portable devices with OLED screens and support MP3/WMA/WAV audio formats. [Read the rest of this entry...]

Thanks to the finger ring that comes along, the Melody Balloon could be easily controlled while it flies in the air when you’re listening to the music. Isn’t that funny? Imagine a young girl comes to you, accompanied by a flying player…That’s so cool! [Read the rest of this entry...]

Dancepants Kinetic Music Player

2009112301

If I were you, I would feel hesitant to wear the Dancepants Kinetic Music Player. Not that it’s heavy or ugly, but you have to keep in motion to have the MP3 player work. In other words, the player is powered by the kinetic energy generated during your motion, and the farer you run, the longer the player works. Then, how long will you wish it to work? Well, forgive my ignorance, but who can tell me how could such a big OLED screen be hidden in the tiny triangular MP3? It’s really magic. Conceived by designer Lisa Kohanski, the Tripod MP3 Player could be transformed into a movie player if you pull the two halves apart. More amazingly, the movie player could also be remotely used with the MP3 control. [Read the rest of this entry...]

Modular Pen

2009091130

Well, indeed I don’ think we may need so complicated a pen like this, a modular pen that includes a pen-point part, a key functional part and a terminal part. You may use it as a ball-point pen, a pencil or an electronic pen, as here’re several kinds of pen-points available. As for the key functional part, it is constructed with a player, a LED light, a charger interface, a memory and a battery. With a Bluetooth on the end, the modular pen also doubles a camera, a microphone, a laser pointer, as well as a wireless network receiver. It’s amazingly powerful! Wind Based Acoustic Coupler Radio

2009101621

In Kawasaki, a city of Japan, an important event is held every year to exhibit assorted wind-bells. Exciting, huh? But how do you like a radio based on the wind? I’ve recently in love with the “Breeze Radio” by Chiu Chi Hung. It features a “sound-only era” concept, aiming to bring us back to a simple time before MP3 players that are designed with complicated features and functions. Whenever the radio is activated by air flow like wind, it then starts to play. But if the wind direction and intensity is changed, the program is accordingly altered. Amusing!
