Art is an energy-costing and time-costing work: to finish these Paper Collage portraits, artist Nathalie Boutté has spent much time in splitting old pages of books into strips and then arranging them into remarkable artworks carefully. The process to make each artwork takes really a long time, but the result? Wow, it’s surprisingly good – as you step backward, the painting then gradually becomes much clearer and more charming.

Amazing Packaging Tape Portraits

“Challenge” is an important keyword whenever referring to artists, who seem to have been challenging all the time to create something fantastic and fabulous. Max Zorn is an artist that loves “challenge” too, and one of his masterpieces is these portraits made out of packaging tapes. His only tools are rolls of packing tape and a scalpel, but the results are quite astonishing: each portrait features not only multiple shades created through layers of tape strips, but also incredible details that are impressive to the viewers.

Thread and Nail Portraits

Can you believe simply with ordinary thread and nails we can create amazing portraits like these? Completed by Pamela Campagna and her husband Thomas Scheiderbauer, each piece took them nearly a month and inspired by their old photos. I don’t know which word could express my appreciation for their wonderful work… Really well done!

Shown here is Yulia Brodskaya’s latest work “Babushka”. It may seem quite simple on screen, but in fact each detail is subtly finished with various shapes and colors of paper.
