Fascinated by Chinese characters and Rubik’s Cube, as many of us are, Taiwan artist Shaun Chung combines aesthetics with movement for a new cube that forms verses from a traditional children’s poem. Each character was laser-etched from wood coz the designer believed it still be fun to go back to the old technology even though it is much easier to print something from computer nowadays.

Although we’ve always been thinking that it is much easier to get money than to keep it, the so-called Rubik’s Cube Bank proves getting a coin is almost as difficult as keeping one. Designed by Tokyo-based MegaHouse, the new piggy bank asks you to solve the yellow side to put into a coin and get the green side to have the center tile pop out when you need one. Here’s another Rubik’s cube for the blind. Similar to the one we’ve introduced before, the new one still features different patterns engraved on the six surfaces, to stand for the green, blue, red, yellow, white and pink colors. But the difference is that these patterns used here are Braille, so that the visually impaired people can play the game more easily.
