A car, also a moving office, the transformed Mercedes-Benz is deemed as one the most extravagant offices around the world. Apart from its elegantly-decorated interior, the car is equipped with Mac mini, Sony 3D TV, Apple iPads, refrigerator, coffee maker, high quality sound system, PS3, iPod touch and other appliances as well, making it the No. 1 luxury combination of high-tech products nowadays. So what should we do on the car, to rest or to work? After all, the car is too comfortable to work in…

The development of bio-batteries is now pushed to a new level, after electronics giant Sony announced that it has developed a battery powered by paper. The batteries were demonstrated at the Eco-Products exhibition in Tokyo, where they have successfully powered a mini fan to work. Sony’s actually utilizes cellulose enzymes to accomplish this technology: after breaking down the paper, the enzymes were left with sugar that had been created from the cellulose; and then the sugar is processed to create hydrogen ions and electrons. Theoretically, a piece of A4 paper is expected to produce about 18 watts of electricity, equivalent to the electricity power of six AA batteries. But currently the electricity power we get is fewer than that, which is also a drawback of this bio-battery.

Our ordinary life is constructed with extraordinary stories, and even a chair, a lamp can remind us of some sweet memories. Thus when I get some old things from my friends, I’d like to know his/her story with the furniture or gadgets. Shen Hao Cheng’s Sony Echo is rightly something to record the life story of a secondhand product. It allows the new owner to retrieve significant information conveniently, and may even make emotion produce resonance between people. Kinda like a message recorder that can be passed on from one people to another… Really interesting.

Till now, the International Funkausstellung Berlin 2011 has brought us many surprising designs and products, and today we’d like to add a new one to the list of innovative electronics. It is Sony’s “Lenticular Sheet”, a thin film that can be places in front of any laptop screens to turn them into glass-free 3D displays. With such a product, 3D fanciers would then enjoy 3D films without needing to wear glasses any more.

Of course the “Lenticular Sheet” cannot work on its own, and the users also need to utilize a certain software to work together with it. When the software works, the webcam of your laptops will move to detect your face, so as to offer you a best 3D display according to your locations. The “Lenticular Sheet” will be on European market on October, with a price of $183.

Looking like a headphone, the stylish product from Sony is actually a wearable MP3 player. With a magnetic device on the end of the earphones, the heart-shape player can be used in the same way as a headphone and you can easily wear it. You could control the player all through different buttons on the right earphone, for example, you can listen to a passage of music and play the whole music with a press to the enter key. When using the rapid-selection function, you may set audition duration from 4 seconds to 15 seconds, all depending on your needs.

You might have this kind of trouble: everyone of your family has her/his own preference configuration of the TV,brightness and contrast for example, but if you adjust the setting everytime, it gonna be more trouble! Therefore, you have to accept the same setting.

If it is, you gotta like this apple remote. They could be distinguished from the shade of green, it means everyone of your family gonna have one apple belongs to her/him. You can program your own functions to best suit your TV watching needs and should you need to go beyond that, the remote responds to motion gestures.

Plus, the bowl is a wireless charger for apples.

A 12.1 inch model at 2.88 mm width from Sharp and an 11 inch model at 3 mm from Sony have been launched on CEATEC 2007. The big difference between the two is Sharp continues to use LCD technology while Sony is pushing OLED. With a long history in LCD, Sharp continues to evangelize the future of the technology.

However, Sony is claiming a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio with a ship date of Dec. 1, 2007 at a price of 200,000 yen ($1,734 US), while Sharp claims only 2000:1 while not releasing a ship date or pricing. Which one do you like?

A transparent column with blue light? What is it used for?

Yeah, many people got it. It’s a speaker from Sony designed by a Italian. The base of the speakers is set in Lombardy marble and the transparent pole emits sound throughout an area in the same way a pebble creates ripples in water.
