Spiral Net

‘Experiencing the Void’ is an innovative concept put forward by JDS architects for the Guggenheim museum. It is based on Frank Lloyd Wright’ concepts of space, which believes that users will have a continuous spatial experience when walling up or down a spiral-shaped ramp. And therefore ‘Experiencing the Void’ is mainly about a trampoline net that spirals down from the museum’s ceiling to the floor. Take the stairs!

Nobody but those who are really too slim (but will any females feel themselves too slim?) may want to put on fat, and they look into any mirrors nearby to make sure that they look good. However, if they find themselves look a bit fatter in one of those mirrors, and then they’ll work hard at losing weight.

Hmmm, I have to say, Sunghee Park really knows better of those people, and therefore he put up a two-screen set of mirrors near the elevator. In that way, whenever they see a distorted figure of a fat person taking elevators in one mirror while a slim person taking the stairs in the other, people will surely take the stairs.

In Stockholm, piano stairs have been installed in the Odenplan subway station recently, to take the place of regular stairs. Why, you may wonder, does this happen? Actually, it merely aims to encourage people to take the stairs instead of the escalator. As great fun is added to walking, 66% more people than usual, claimed the government, preferred stairs to escalator after the piano stairs were installed. What a brilliant idea and a great way to promote healthy lifestyle!
