Surely people would seem undecided whether to drink or not, if they’re using a weird carafe like this one. Designed by Liviana Osti, the piece is composed of two carafes nestled in the form of a human heart. Once filled with red wine, it will look more like real heart, so weird!
In China, the bride and groom are expected to drink “cross-cupped wine” from one another’s glasses on their wedding parties, and that indicates they’ll then remain a devoted couple to the end of their lives. Possibly inspired by that tradition from the East, designer Camilla Fucili has come up with this Cin Cin Glasses that allows two people to drink from different directions. But as the two glasses are connected to each other, people who are using them will therefore be brought closer to each other too.

Ampro Design’s Design Business Bottle may be the world’s first wine bottle that comes with two necks. It is also packaged in two glasses, separately labeled “our business” and “your business”, and those two parts are attached to each other by a yellow ribbon printed with a word “is”. Since every year over 87,000 fights in Britain are caused by drinking, the local designers have been committed to developing a new range of glasses that are more difficult to smash. At present, two prototypes have been finished: the Twin Wall and the Glass Plus. Announced by their creator DesignBridge, the first prototype is inspired by car windscreens and is made by using resin to stick two thin walled glasses together. As for the second design, it features a thin film of bio-resin coated inside the glass. Experiments showed that neither of the two kinds of glasses will be broken into sharp fragments when dropped onto the floor. Therefore, they will reduce the injuries caused by bar fights.
