New Capsule Camera Wirelessly Guided by MRI

The next generation of capsule camera is already here: a little cam developed by scientists from the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, which can work by receiving magnetic instructions from the MRI that steers a rudder like motor. As the device is wirelessly guided, it will then eliminate the need for an invasive tether guidance system and also reduce the discomfort of patients. It hasn’t been tested yet in the human body, but it has been tested in water, so we believe the human trials shouldn’t be far behind, and the day to use it will come soon.

World’s First Cloud-based LED Lighting System

The world’s first cloud-based LED lighting system was recently launched by Japan-based Net LED Technology Company. It’s called NetLED system, composed of LED tube with built-in Wi-Fi as well as a free NetLed app. After installing the NetLed app on your smartphone, tablets or other devices and replaced your lights with the NetLED tubes, you can then control individual, multiple, or a set of lights via the app: to dim the lights (each tube has 10 different dimming levels), to turn them on or off, or to track energy usage in real-time. Net LED says that when a company, for instance, installs 200 of these lights, its power consumption can be reduced down by up to 50%.

Belkin Wemo Home Automation System

Belkin’s Wemo home automation system is a smart device that allows you to control the electrical outlets of your home via your smartphones or a motion sensor modular. The system is all based on Wi-Fi technology, comprising of a Home Control Switch and a Motion Sensor module, which function in different ways in fact. The Home Control Switch is a plug, which sits between the wall socket and plug from any electric device, to provide a programmable on / off switch that can be controlled by a smartphone or triggered by the company’s Motion Sensor. And the Motion Sensor, just as you may have guessed, is a wireless motion-sensitive switch that can sit anywhere to ensure the users an instant control of the electricity outlets.

iPad Keyboard with Elevating Keys

Even though the Apple Inc. has issued no keyboards for iPad or iPad 2, there’re actually many companies designing and launching wireless keyboards for iPad users. The Levitatr Keyboard is just one among them. It is merely 12mm high, with a smooth black surface when not in use. But once you switch it on, its keys then raise out and the backlighting turns on.
